Can I set up whole classes together? (back)

Yes, whole classes can be activated together using batch activation. This makes dealing with large numbers of learners far easier.

We have more than one school. Do we need separate subscriptions for each school? (back)

We recommend that each school manages their own accounts. It may be slighter cheaper to have multiple schools on one subscription, but it can be difficult to manage and administer.

If you need more than 500 licences, then contact us at sales@L2.co.uk or call .

How do learners get their usernames and passwords? (back)

The first time they access WORDREADY®, the users themselves typically set up young-learner-friendly usernames and passwords. They will need to enter the activation code provided to them by their teachers. They choose usernames, such as happybluedog1 (an adjective, a colour, an animal and a number), from drop-down lists. These can be displayed in the learner's own language. They can then choose any password they like for their account.

How do learners use the product? (back)

Learners log-in with their username and password from any computer that meets the recommended requirements. The software then loads the learner's latest profile, so that learning can continue from where they last left off.

WORDREADY® is designed to be used primarily for supplementary self-study and is an ideal resource for homework and further practice outside school - support is provided in the learner's first language.

What if a learner loses or forgets their log on details? (back)

The account manager can easily reset the learner's password and remind them of their username by using the Management Tools.

What if members of the school/class leave? Can I assign the accounts to new learners? (back)

If this happens, accounts can be reset by using the Management Tools. The request needs to include the username of each account to be reset. Note that all stored user data for that account will no longer be accessible following a reset - it will be deleted.

Do teachers have to choose learners' usernames and passwords for all their learners? (back)

No, in fact we recommend that learners choose their own usernames and passwords. This makes them easier for learners to remember and they have a stake in choosing them. When users choose their usernames and during login, there is the option to view usernames in the learner's first language. This also makes them easier to remember.

What if an account manager forgets their password? (back)

If the account manager forgets their password, there is a link on the Management Tools login page to request a temporary password be sent to their registered email address.

What will an account manager be able to see about learner progress? (back)

You will be able to see:

  1. How many words they have encountered and the level of knowledge they have reached with those words;
  2. When each learner last logged on to WORDREADY®.

Is my learners' data secure? (back)

Yes, our servers are based in high security data centres in London, UK. You may also find it useful to read our Privacy Policy. There is a link to it at the bottom of each page on this website.
